Mafia

ABOUT
Mafia is originally a card game, and with this app you can just simply play it on your phone.

RULES
1. With a minimum of 3 people, the game will randomly select the roles of Mafia(1), Detective(1), and Citizen(#).

2. In each round, Mafia will try to eliminate each person in the game, while the Detective tries to guess who the Mafia is.

3. After the first victim is identified, all players will vote on who they believe Mafia is out of the remaining people.

4. When the convicted is chosen and out of the game but isn't Mafia, the game continues until Mafia is victorious (when he/she is left with one person) or when Mafia is finally caught.

I hope you all will enjoy the game!

It's been a great last day. We have put the finishing touches on our presentations and presented in front of faculty, upper school students, and middle school students. We received huge support and are excited for the official release of the Mafia Challenge App. It has been a wonderful Apps Challenge J-Term. We will continue to update our social media pages and expand our audience around the world!

With one day left, we were challenged with time management. We finished our presentation for tomorrow, continued spreading flyers, and posted on our facebook and twitter pages. We also made our video for how our app works. We made some progress on the development of our app and are looking forward to presenting it tomorrow!

Today, with the help of Wunderlist, we got many things done. First, we went through many J-Term classrooms to promote the Mafia Challenge. We've gotten awesome feedback from the Middle Schoolers. They seem very excited for our app! Our twitter account is growing in followers and our Facebook page is very very very close to 100 likes (97). We remodeled our Profile video and are planning to start our "How the App Works" video first thing tomorrow. 2 days!

We have gotten a lot of work done today. First, we made a NEW twitter account at @MafiaChallenge1. Please follow! Our original account is still suspended at the moment. Our group worked on our profiling video, and Perry put it all together while Kyle was working on his storyboard in XCode. In addition, we went to other J-Term classrooms to present our app to an audience.
We also created an ad for our Final Presentations on Friday:
Our ad got selected to be sent to the Episcopal Academy's faculty!

We also created ads for the general student body:

Here is our promotional video!

We are very excited for the final product on Friday!

Within the first 10 minutes of class, we were suspended from our twitter account that had 585 followers. Throughout the day, Jessica made flyers and posters promoting our app, I worked on our mailchimp.com account, and recorded our presentation video with Kyle. Kyle also worked on coding. We are on a good pace to finish by Friday.

Today, we had a social media professional from Bad Rhino, Rich DeMatteo, come in and give us many helpful strategies for advertising our apps. We learned about reading data analysis on a variety of sites and word related marketing on twitter. We finalized what we wanted on our app and began coding. Our big day is in a week!

Today, our group started developing our game app, its design and its programming.
Jessica and I started making buttons and other images needed for our app, as well as our finished logo. Because the Mafia page name is already taken, we decided to rename the Facebook page to the Mafia Challenge. Kyle learned how to make the sign up part for our game and imported buttons and images we made in Photoshop.

We made progress with our Facebook page. We invited people to like it,  posted, and updated the profile and banner picture. We have gotten over 20 followers thus far! The rest of our day was dedicated to working on the app's program and final touches in design.

Today, our group presented our app idea to the sharktank team of teachers. Overall, I think it went well. By the end of the presentation, every teacher understood our idea and some teachers even gave helpful suggestions to improve our app.
Check it out:

After the presentation, our Programmer, Kyle, learned more about coding today, while Jessica, the Project Manager, and I, the Marketer, developed our logo. We are currently not finished our logo, but we should finish by tomorrow. As our team's marketing manager, I created a facebook group for our app called "Mafia". I found out after class that the name "Mafia" is already taken, so we will have to make modifications. We are making good progress and are looking forward to the development process.
