Ask and Answer

Today January 8th, an idea has become a reality!

Chief Marketer Nile Hardy, Lead Programmer Andrew Quigley, and Product Manager Trey Croney, survived the Shark Tank, and were given the go ahead by EA investors to make a revolutionary app called Ask and Answer.

Have you every wanted to ask a teacher a question for a test or exam, without the delay of waiting for them to respond later than you anticipated?  Emailing and setting up appointments with a teacher are options, but are unreliable, and do not provide the same satisfaction.  With Ask and Answer, you will be put into a comfortable environment, where you are able to ask questions, and get an instant response from other members in your class chat.

Day  1
Trey Croney is designing the App icon.  So far he has presented some sample ideas, and they look good.
Andrew Quigley is learning how to program the app, with Mr. Memmo.  He is learning fast, and should be able to make with minimal problems.
Nile as the marketer, decided to use social media to give exposure to the app.  He has made a Facebook
page, Twitter, for the app.

Day  2
There was a great amount of progress made today.  The Facebook page and Twitter handle are now live.
Please follow us on Twitter, and like our page on  Facebook.  Also tell you friends, spread the word, and
lets see if we cannot get 100 likes by the end of j term.  Also, our Shark Tank video is currently being
uploaded, which should be up by the end of tonight. Once it is finished rendering, we will post the link to
the video. Our team of programmers, was able to finalize our app icon, and create an interface, with a
working login system. Currently they are working on a functioning database to ensure the security of all
usernames and passwords. Great job programmers! App's looking great so far.
Day  3: Video is  up!

Today we reached 33 likes on Facebook, and 49 followers of Twitter.  Lets see if we cant get both those numbers to 100 by the end of J Term! On the programming side, our login system is fully functional, and the programmers have identified which databases, and codes they need to finish the on time.  Also today we talked to Rich Dematteo, a social media expert, taught us how to maximize the exposure our app can get on social media sites such as Facebook, and Twitter. He also should us some fascinating features in Facebook and Twitter, that we were not aware of, such as how to Facebook advertise, and hootsuite.com which helps schedule and manage your tweets on Twitter. Thank you, Rich for your advise and time! We will definitely implementing your strategies in our app campaign.

Day  4

And were back! Just four more days til Ask and Answer is complete. We now have 42 likes on Facebook, and 139 followers on Twitter. Thats awesome. The Ask and Answer now has a fully functioning login, and signup process, as well as the ability to create chats, and add friends. Currently in the works, is a film showing behind the scenes of our the creation of our app, as well as interviews with each of the group members who were responsible for the creation and exposure of the app.  Expect the film to be done by Thursday, or Friday.  We have had very productive day, and Ask and Answer will be completed in no time.

Day  5

Ask and Answer's developing team video is live.
This video will allow you to meet the team that is behind the app Ask and Answer.  The video will feature interviews with Trey Croney, Nile Hardy, and Andrew Quigley. Each interview will explain what each of these gentleman's role are in the development of the app, as well as what they like about the app, and what the like about working together.

Our app is now able to setup group pages, as well as invite and add friends, who you want to chat with. This is a break through, and we are officially in the final phase of our app.  All that is left to program now is, the format of the chats, and the ability for our members to chat with each other.

Ask and Answer's is steadily getting more and more exposure.  We still have a strong increase in likes and followers on Facebook, and Twitter.  Today, using the email site MailChimp.com, and Mrs. Edwards, we were able to send out an email advertisement to the EA Faculty, and EA's Middle and Upper school students.  We plan to send another wave of emails, to our contacts on Twitter, and Facebook.

Tomorrow we will being working on a tutorial video, on how Ask and Answer functions.  This video will be released tomorrow.

Day  6

The tutorial video for Ask and Answer is up.  In this video Andrew Quigley gives a walkthrough of how the Ask and Answer app functions.  In addition the Ask and Answer has been giving presentations to middle school classes, as well as upper school j terms to further spread the word about the app.  Giving the presentations was a great idea.  We were to get a lot of positive, and feedback, and even some advice from the students and teachers, who we presented to, today.  Our Facebook page, and Twitter page, is growing everyday, which is great.  Lets see if we can reach one hundred likes on Facebook, and two hundred followers on Twitter by Friday.

Day  7

Today served as a preparation day for tomorrows final presentation.  We decided to make a Prezi, which entails, our app progress from beginning to end.  The presentation will display how we came up with the idea, what we did to give our app some exposure, and the current state of the app.

We also worked on our team profile video, as well as put on the finishing touches on the tutorial video of Ask and Answer.  We then showed then to Mrs, Edwards and some of our personal advisors, and the feedback we received, overall was positive.

On the programming side of our app, you are now able to setup a chat room, and go even further by creating a title, and description of use for the chat room.  Also you can now invite your classmates/friends, and in the chat room it will display title of the chat, as well as who created it.

Overall, today was productive. Our follower and likes rates have gone down, but we plan to implement some strategies that might allow us to reach our milestone of two hundred followers on Twitter and 100 likes on Facebook.
